Elegy.

With a nod of dismissal, Aesadonna stepped away from Beefbus and pulled her cowl over her bright blonde hair. She needed some time to clear her head; they had grown far too close during their mutual struggle to purge Azeroth of Deathwing's corruption. It was a bond that was unnatural, one she would have to immediately sever. "For his own good", she whispered hoarsely.

Before she had the chance to mount her beloved skeletal horse, Deathblossom, to ride anywhere but near to Beef as an attempt to escape the frustratingly unknown, she felt a strong hand grip her shoulder. Stiffly, she turned, already knowing who was standing behind her.

"Aesa", Beef plead. The look of disquiet so clearly written on his handsome face was enough to give her pause. "I...I.." she stammered, recoiling from his sudden burst of emotion. "I'm so sorry", she replied, lowering her eyes to avoid his gaze. Shrugging off his touch, Aesadonna immediately summoned a Death Gate and stepped through to Acherus, her sanctuary.

"Home sweet home", mumbled Aesadonna. She threw back her cowl, shaking out her hair with a grimace that distorted her winsome features. Even before her death, she had the unfortunate habit of letting men complicate, well, everything. Beef was no exception.

This was my entry for my Effy's raider challenge; a portrait of Aesadonna. Note that I am by no means a master wordslinger, so pardon the clumsy prose! Also, it's not easy to put on a serious face when your fiancé named his mage BEEFBUS, just sayin'.
