Happy Winter's Veil 2011!
Happy feast of Winter's Veil, everybody!
May it be your happiest and most blessed celebration yet. :-)
While on the semi-related topic of wintery goodness, check out this adorable Aesadoodle that my Twitter buddy, @Necr0mantic, drew for me in the spirit of the holiday. :-D She made everyone's favourite Ass-uh-donut look rather fetching in her winter hat, eh? *squee*

Transmog: Dungeon Sets.
At first, I thought Transmogrification was quite possibly the silliest thing that Blizzard has rolled out in my six years of playing WoW. That just might have been the bitter Death Knight side of me speaking; we have way less tier to play with than everyone else since we are the new kids on the block! Even though I never liked the process of looking like a hot mismatched mess while in the process of obtaining new gear, each piece showcased my accomplishments in tackling new content. After playing around a little with the feature on the PTR, I wasn't expecting to actually 'Mog on live...
...Until I saw they re-added Quartermaster Ozorg who sells the two sets of Death Knight starter gear at dirt cheap. Considering that they are two of my most favourite sets of gear ever, I hauled ass to Warpweaver Hashom, thew my gold at him, and have not looked back since!
But, enough backstory... here are a few complete dungeon sets that I find aesthetically pleasing.

Week in Review #1.
In the spirit of wanting to become a more active WoW-blogger, I've decided to post either a weekly or bi-weekly recap of things that Aesadonna has accomplished or awesome happenstances. So, here's Week in Review #1!

Gratuitous kill shots (+ rambling!)
It's no secret that I love taking screen shots; they're the WoW equivalency of a photograph, capturing a moment for you to relive. Kill shots are amongst my absolute favourite things to "snap" -- being able to savour that accomplishment all over again and to see how you've grown as a player are wonderful feelings. This is Aesadonna's raiding journey through the Cataclysm.

Adventures in PvP
Admittedly, battlegrounds have never really been my thing. Pre-Cata, the only time you'd see me willingly queue for one is if my priest, Fiannah, needed a quick piece of gear to replace something sub-par. Any other foray into the world of PvP was me trying to bond with my fiance, Jake, who is an enthusiast. (His Mage is a Lieutenant-Commander from the Vanilla ranking system, an achievement he's quite proud of.) Me and PvP never really quite ended up working out; I couldn't find a comfort-zone in battleground healing.
Early 2011, I switched focus from Fiannah, who was my main character since Burning Crusade, to Aesadonna because my then-guild needed a melee toon to round out their 10 man raiding roster. As someone who healed from Vanilla up until that point, playing Aesadonna was a breath of fresh air in a game that had gone stale.
With PvE content feeling revolutionized, I tried my hand at PvP once again. Surprisingly enough, I didn't feel the same strong feelings of revulsion that I came to associate with non-world PvP. In fact... it was kind of fun! The best part was that after years of keeping his ass alive, it was my Jake's turn to heal ME! Mwahaha!
Rambling backstory aside, what this post is really about is the fun I had PvPing with my Twitter friend Shiftea Sunday night. Granted, I'm still far from a PvP mastermind but I'm learning and having a blast along the way. Throughout the night, we had several different people join us, including Gorp, Veroicone, Nathadan, and Zeolet. Yay for making new friends! (Especially of the healsie variety. *grin*) Hopefully, this PvP-fest will become a weekly thing as mentioned -- perhaps becoming Aesadonna of the Alliance isn't such an unobtainable goal afterall. (And plus, even if the title thing doesn't happen, 50 conquest points per win?! That means less way less Arena! *cheer*)
Of course, what's a post without pretty pictures?

Tirisfal Glades Faerie Circle
While she's not off posing as a heroic slayer of bad, Aesadonna is quite fond of exploration. There are quite a few spiffy happenings around the world (of Warcraft) that briefly bring a smile to her cold, cadaverous face -- the number one being the faerie circle event out in Tirisfal Glades. There's no adjective to describe it other than "magical."
Awaiting the festivities with Amowrath.

Pirates Day 2011!
A special shoutout to Beefbus, as this story was his brainchild. I just took and edited the pretty screen shots. ;-)
Pirate's Day rolled around, and Beefbus got all spiffy and in the spirit of things. So, naturally, he goes all Jack Sparrow and tries to steal a ship! But not just any ship... It's the Legendary HMS Poopdeck!
